October Math Stations

I am so excited to share with you October Math Stations.  This unit is packed with math activities at various levels so you can pick the activities that best fit your students, no editing on your part.  I absolutely love the way this set turned out.  If you would like a copy please leave a comment and I will pick two winners.  This pack will also be on sale until Tuesday for $2.25.

Math Stations are so much fun but these activities could also be used for pocket chart instruction or early finishers.

Back To School...Beach to School GIVEAWAY!

Hi all!

I don't know about you but I'm already getting in the Back to School mode...  I blame Target!  Love that Dollar Spot...  I can neither confirm nor deny that I went to 3 Targets yesterday to go through the Dollar Spot.  Slightly embarrassed about that one but I did find the mini caddy I needed!

ANYWAY...I decided to look through my back to school stuff and since we're starting school on August 12 this year (Anyone else starting that early?) I looked through my little Beach to School unit I made last year.  While I liked it last year, I decided to give it a little face lift and then added a ton to it (so it was 35 pages and now it's 63!).  WHEW!  I'm SUPER excited about how it turned out and am really excited to use it next month with my new group of kiddos!

If you already purchased it, THANK YOU and please go download the new version.  Trust me.  Totally.  Worth.  It.  If you haven't purchased it yet, I have it on sale for $2.00 until Friday!  Woot, woot!  I love sales.  And as always, I would LOVE feedback!  Here are some pics of a few of the updated pages.

And since I'm so excited about my finds at Target, I'm going to give away two of these units to the first two people to comment what their must have back to school purchase is.  And....GO!

Smile!

Bye Bye Firsties and a Giveaway!

Hey all!  I’m a little embarrassed by how long it has been since I posted.  Hi! :::waves:::  It’s Caroline!  I haven’t fallen off the face of the Earth.  I had a super busy year with a class of kiddos and my boys at home that kept me moving until I passed out at 9 PM!  Haha!  Now I’m on summer break and ready to share some stuff with you.  Alison’s been great at sharing all year.  Thanks girl!

So, since I’ve been away SO long, I’m going to give away my new product, “Good-bye First Grade!  I will give this product away to the first 2 people who comment (make sure you put your email!).  Comment away and I will send it your way!  I’m really excited to share this.  It turned out so cute!

Here are some pictures of the project during and after.  It always cracks me up to see how the kids draw their faces!

Can't wait to see your comment!  I also put it on TPT for $1.00 for a FLASH sale so if you miss the giveaway, it's still 50% off!

Smiles!

Thank You, A New Game, and A Giveaway for Adjectives, Nouns, and Verbs

THANK YOU FOR LINKING UP!
WOW!  Can you believe the PLETHORA of freebies Krista from Creative Clips GAVE AWAY during her 10 day celebration?  This gal has a talent she could monopolize on so easily but instead she is keeping it real and providing amazing resources to teachers.  KRISTA, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I also want to thank everyone that took the time to link up one or more of their wonderful resources to help Krista celebrate; you too are making a difference by helping other teachers put great resources in their classrooms.

 A NEW GAME
READY, SET, SHOW!
Ready, Set, Show is a game you can play with just about any skill.  I like playing this game because at the games end you will know which students need a little more practice on the skills you were reviewing.  This is a quick game that can be used as a follow up to a lesson or as a time filler if a lesson runs short or your schedule changes. (I’m sure that never happens at your school.)

Here’s how you play:

Today’s skills are Nouns & Verbs.

  1. Make a list of nouns and verbs you would like to use.
  2. Give each student a noun and verb card.
  3. Have students place the two cards on their desk face up.
  4. Students should place one hand on each card.
  5. Say a word from your list, then say Ready, Set, Show. (hands         and cards should remain on students desk until you say “show”.
  6.  Students should hold up the correct card.
***It is easy to tell which students need more practice by their      wondering eyes and hesitation.

WHO WANTS TO PLAY?  If you would like to win a copy of “ALL KINDS OF FUN” with Adjectives, Nouns, and Verbs leave a comment with your e-mail address. If you would like two chances to win you can also stop by our Facebook page and leave a comment with your e-mail. I will pick one winner on each page sometime before Thursday. Here's a peek of what's inside "ALL KINDS OF FUN WITH ADJECTIVES, NOUNS AND VERBS"

Teacher Finds You Can't Live Without and a GIVEAWAY

What teacher doesn't like a great back to school sale?  Well during my many travels during the last few weeks I have found some pretty awesome deals and cute as a little girl with pigtails things for any classroom.    Only a teacher would be found during her family vacation in a JoAnn Fabric store scouring the isles for great back to school items.   A couple of years ago I found the great stools for my reading table at JoAnn's

and returned this year to see if they had them again for my colleagues and THEY DID!

You may have to order these gems from another store if you can't find them at your location because they are going super fast..............and don't forget to use your JoAnn teacher discount card when you shop.

And ooohlala check these out

Also at JoAnn's :

Desk organization
I have to admit I am a bit of a postaholic, so when I saw these I had to have them. Seriously cute stuff, Just Sayin!

                                    Big Lots

A teacher can never have too many baskets.......Can they?

Endless possiblities for this magnetic dry erase board........Guided Reading, Stations, Word Work, etc.
Composition notebooks can also be used for so many things in the classroom; in the past I have used them for reading response journals, math journals, station journals, you get the idea.  I've also heard other teachers say you can take them to a home store and have them cut in half.  Genius!!!!!
